Introducing the Raspberry Shake Discord Server

Ever felt the Earth rumble beneath you—or just wanted to chat about it with people who share your passion? At Raspberry Shake, we’re all about making seismology something everyone can get excited about: the curious, DIY enthusiasts, tinkerers, educators, and the Earth science experts.

Since our Kickstarter days back in 2016, our community has grown into a global network of citizen scientists, hobbyists, and pros alike, all connected by a passion for our planet’s vibrations and to discover what’s shaking beneath our feet.

Now, we’re taking that connection to the next level with the launch of our brand-new Discord server—a digital hub where the Raspberry Shake community can connect, collaborate, and watch the Earth move like never before!

What is a Discord Server, Anyway?

If you’re new to Discord, here’s the rundown: it’s a free online platform where people gather in “servers”—think of them as private clubs or hangouts.

Each server has channels (like chat rooms) for different topics, so you can jump into conversations, share pics or files, and more. It’s a bit like a mix of a forum and a group chat, but way more lively and flexible.

Originally big with gamers, Discord’s now a go-to for all kinds of communities—like ours—where folks bond over shared interests, from seismic waves to coding tricks. It’s easy to use, and you can join from your phone, computer, or tablet.

A Tour of Your New Seismic Hangout

Our server isn’t just one big chatroom—it’s a collection of channels built to spark curiosity, share ideas, foster collaboration, ask questions and keep you in the loop. Here’s what’s waiting for you inside:
